Directors about the program
Iskra Petkova: Director of "Detelina" House for Children Deprived of Parental Care (age 3-6), in Pleven
“To me the strongest moment is the performance of exercises in couples, in a circle. This created in children feelings of confidence, support, and trust not only in the child next to you but also in the whole group.
This feeling was strongest during the summer camp in Rila. Then children found themselves in unfamiliar surroundings, among many unfamiliar people who danced and sang in the same way as they did. In this way, children felt the support of the adults, the support of a big group of people of which they were a part.
In the framework of the Rila National Park program children learned a lot about nature. They felt its greatness and beauty, they came to love her and to understand that it gave them strength and health, realized that they had to keep it clean. The everyday walks and hiking trips to various places in the neighborhood tempered the fragile child organism; children gained in health, and learned to overcome obstacles by helping each other.
This educational model has an extremely positive effect on children with fragile psyche: children with problems in adaptation, in communication, with explicit manifestation of aggression or closed in them, reaching self-isolation, children who have lost support and trust of the adults. This is a model for corrective and educational work on child behavior as well as the child attitude to the world. This is education through trust in the child, education through love.”
Panka Dimitrova: Director of "Radost" Kindergarten in Dimitrovgrad
"I evaluate the program as effective, having a future, and necessary for pre-school age, because it aims at improvement of the physical and psychological health of the child, reduces aggression, stress, and anxiety at an early age.
The program affects the emotional, intellectual, and creative development of children with the help of music therapy and rhythmical movements, which are extremely suitable for this age.
The program helps socialization by realization of one’s own unique personality, and by forming self-discipline and positive attitude to the people who are different from us.
The program helps the general and special readiness of children for school by enriching their activities in natural environment (Nature Orientation), society and health (Orientation in the Social World), art (Arts) and physical culture (Physical Culture)."
G. Georgieva: Director of “Temenuga” Kindergarten, Pleven
“In the Paneurhythmy groups enrolled healthy children and children with some chronic diseases, with bronchial asthma, injured hearing, and cerebral paralysis (CCP). The unruly children and children with special educational needs mastered the behavior models, became calmer and more responsive. Paneurhythmy training is in harmony with integrated training in our kindergarten and stimulates the process of formation of relationships based on tolerance, feeling of confidence, empathy, and security.
As outcome, the classes provided for the harmonious relations between children, stimulated dialogue, and cooperation, acquaintance of positive social experience and physically for gaining health. A child with injured hearing participated actively in the training, using synchronized movements, reacting to the rhythm and the emotional medium, drawing, writing down momentary impressions and feelings.”
Galina Kostadinova: Director of “Slaveiche” Kindergarten in Karnobat
“I believe that it is possible and socially and economically justified to apply Paneurhythmy now and in the most suitable form in kindergartens. In this way, it can support the efforts of physical education to secure the necessary for the health physical activity of pre-school aged children and to improve their physical, psychological, and spiritual development to the interest of their health, abilities development, and wellbeing.”
Elena Koleva: pre-school teacher in a pre-school group at Georgi Raichev School in Stara Zagora
"The healthy life style and the environmental education of children were among the motives of teachers, not of parents, when we started work with the program “Healthy by Exercising in Nature”. The outcome of our work changed the opinion of the parents from indifference through curiosity to approval. Children participated with eagerness and impatience. Pupils, colleagues, friends, and parents whose children did not participate in this training showed up interest in it.
The body positioning of the children improved. They developed their ability to give evaluation and self-evaluation of what was accomplished. Children sought our approval and encouragement. Their self-confidence improved. The group work made them feel like friends. Their speech developed. They experienced many joyful moments and emotions, which made my work easier as far as integration of children from other ethnic groups was concerned."
Svetla Yotova: Director of School for Mentally Retarded, Dimitrovgrad
"Already for two years 22 pupils from our school have joined Paneurhythmy training; of them five have child cerebral paralysis (CCP) and are moderately mentally retarded (MMR). For them we have the following outcome of the training: Ana Rumenova (MMR) learned to perform the exercises rhythmically. Bozhidar Simeonov (MMR) acquired a sustained interest and made successful attempts to make the exercises in rhythm. Mitko Simeonov (CCP and epilepsy) learned the song texts in a delayed rhythm, mastered well the movements of the exercises and developed the fine movements. Mitka Angelova (schizophrenia) learned to perform in an artful way all songs and movements, formed good vocal performance of the vowels and improved the general motor development; Angel Petrov (MMR) learned to perform in an artful way all songs and movements, formed good vocal performance of the vowels and improved his participation in sports competitions.
With the help of Paneurhythmy, children develop fürther their musical skills and improve stability and concentration of attention.
In “Healthy by Exercising in Nature” this purposefulness at communication with nature is eminent, the interest is high, precisely because classes are carried out in the open, in natural surroundings, there are participations is research expeditions and excursions to nature parks, which helps for the formation of a healthier life style."
